Will
Taylor
Will is an established artist and printmaker based in Rye, East Sussex. Following a career in engineering he attended short schools at the Slade School of Fine Art in London (Drawing) and Kent Institute of Art and design in Maidstone (Printmaking) but is predominantly self-taught.
He favours tradition line techniques in etching and pen, charcoal and silverpoint, and his work always contains a strong element of drawing. Recurring themes in his work include animals, Kent buildings and the natural landscape, often made from sketches on his travels abroad. His scale drawings of animals, from sheep to zebras, worked in charcoal in exquisite detail have both subtlety and strength - invoking a true sense of drama.
He has been a member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art since 2005 and in 2018 was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists. His work is in private
collections as well as galleries in Kent and Sussex.
He regularly exhibits at the Mall Galleries, Bankside Gallery, The Affordable Art Fair
and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, London.
